Ernie Slatinsky, a retired Federal agent with the US government, found his calling, in hospitality. Just before he got his walking papers, his wife Cara suggested they buy a hotel in the middle of Comfort, Tx. Without hesitation the pair dove in head first. Originally he planned to just maintain the property on a not so regular basis. Quick jump forward and he is on property 5-7 days a week, cleaning, making dinner reservations and lending a hand where ever he’s needed. His true passion lies in “Over the Top” hospitality, whatever a guest wants, he’ll find it for them. I like bubbles over a bath bomb and guess what, I had lavender scented bubbles waiting for me in my room. His warm smile says it all. Ernie also starting a picking circle on Friday nights for locals, guests or anyone who brings an instrument.
